Transcription: Magellan's death at the hands of Philippine King Lapu-Lapu was a tragedy for his expedition. First, their ally, Uma Bon, turned against them, slaughtering several of Magellan's officers in a surprise attack. There weren't enough sailors left to man the three remaining ships, so the Concepcion was burned and her men divided between the Victoria and the Trinidad.
